Amos passed away in 1961 at Söderlångvik, but hislegacy lives on. Söderlångvik has welcomed visitors from near and far since opening as a museum in 1965. Following extensive restoration work between 2019 and 2021, the house and grounds have been restored to their former glory. The museum continues to serve as a living cultural environment, hosting regular art exhibitions. The exhibition Lassie Suddenly Burst Out Laughing – Collections of the OP Pohjola Art Foundation is currently on display, running from 1 May to 30 September.
