Söderlångvik was occasionally visited by some very prominent guests. In 1935, President Svinhufvud and his wife visited Kimitoön and stayed with Amos at Söderlångvik. Such visits engaged the whole island: the First Lady visited local associations, and the President took part in a hunt on Amos’ land. It was after the presidential visit that Amos decided to have the house further extended.
