After completing his studies at the commercial institute, Amos began his career as an actuary at the marine insurance company Triton in Turku from 1898 to 1900. He then travelled to Göttingen and London to further his knowledge of the finance and insurance industry. He also familiarized himself with advertising and marketing. He went on to found the Nordiska Annonsbyrån in 1907 which became one of the leading advertising agencies in Finland.
