The photo exhibition Amos Anderson – An Unknown Great Man from the Turku Archipelago portrays one of the most successful businessmen and most important cultural patrons of his time. He grew up in the Turku Archipelago, spent his youth’s summers in Naantali, and studied and began his working life in Turku.
Amos Anderson’s business activities were centered in Helsinki, but his ties to his home region remained strong throughout his life.
Today, traces of Amos Anderson can be seen, among other places, on Kimitoön at the magnificent Söderlångvik Manor, in Turku Cathedral, and at Åbo Akademi University.
