Summer evenings at Amos Krog offer jazz and the inviting aromas of good food. Join us on Wednesdays from 24 June to 5 August and enjoy the atmosphere. Live music starts at 18:00 and ends around 20:00. The kitchen is open until 19:00.

On Wednesday 8 July, the music starts earlier at 16:00.

24 Jun – JUSU & KAJA
Saxophonist Jusu Heinonen and pianist Timo Kajamies form a relaxed duo inspired by the sea and the archipelago. Their music takes the listener into the calm and gentle rhythms of the Finnish archipelago. The concert theme is Archipelago Jazz, featuring classics such as Kaikki paitsi purjehdus on turhaa, Tähti ja meripoika and Aamu Airistolla, along with many other familiar and easy going tunes.

1 Jul – JAZZARELLA DUO
Jazzarella Duo draws inspiration from Finnish jazz chansons of the 1950s and 1960s, with the captivating Kati Narvanmaa as vocal soloist. The repertoire features gems of Finnish popular music, including songs originally recorded by Laila Kinnunen, Brita Koivunen and Vieno Kekkonen. The nuanced and elegant collaboration between Narvanmaa and Oravuo guarantees an atmospheric evening filled with timeless evergreens.

8 Jul – MURTOJÄRVI DUO
Guitarist Ilpo Murtojärvi has enjoyed a long career as a musician, arranger, composer, producer and music teacher. He has worked extensively as a backing musician for various artists and has also composed and recorded his own music. His daughter Saana Murtojärvi has likewise built a long career in music as a singer, musician and vocal teacher. Beyond their family ties, Ilpo and Saana are united by a shared love of good music, especially jazz and bossa nova. Their duo repertoire includes personal favourites ranging from timeless rhythm music classics to intriguing rarities.

15 Jul – DIPPA DAI DUO
Dippa Dai Duo, consisting of Jussi Fredrikson and Jusu Heinonen, approaches jazz standards and evergreen classics with a gentle touch and occasionally a playful edge. Their performance blends virtuosity, relaxed improvisation and friendly on stage banter that can be heard both in the phrasing and the chords.
When Dippa Dai Duo takes the stage, familiar classics gain new flavours. Sometimes dipped deep into jazz, sometimes lightly coated with an evergreen twist. The audience is treated to a warm spirited, swinging and cheerful evening where at least one musician always plays the right notes, and the other improvises them even better.
This duo does not promise seriousness. It promises music, joy and that someone will be laughing, at the very least on stage.

22 Jul – KERSTIN STUBB DUO
Kerstin Stubb Duo performs summery bossa nova and jazz influenced rhythms. Kerstin Stubb, vocals and guitar, is well known as a troubadour in the Turku Archipelago area and as a programme host on cruise ships. Pasi Lyysaari, double bass and electric bass, is an experienced musician with a broad background across musical genres and education.

29 Jul – OLLI & MAUNO

5 Aug – JUSU & KAJA
Saxophonist Jusu Heinonen and pianist Timo Kajamies return with their archipelago inspired duo. With Archipelago Jazz as the theme, the programme includes classics such as Kaikki paitsi purjehdus on turhaa, Tähti ja meripoika and Aamu Airistolla, alongside many other familiar and relaxed melodies.
