Welcome to an autumn family day at Söderlångvik Manor, where nature, hunting, wildlife management, and local food take centre stage. During the day, visitors can learn about the importance of hunting and wildlife conservation, meet local organizations and producers, and enjoy activities for all ages.

The event area will feature vendors, food artisans, and associations showcasing their products and activities. Fun outdoor activities will be arranged for children, and visitors will have the opportunity to see how game is handled from forest to table, including demonstrations of game processing and butchering.

Don’t miss the highlight of the day – our wild game burger! Made from locally sourced game meat and served with delicious accompaniments, it is a celebration of the forest’s finest ingredients and the flavours of autumn. For dessert, enjoy apple pie and ice cream.

Söderlångvik’s Wild Outdoor Day aims to highlight local food, sustainable wildlife management, and the strong connection between nature, the manor, and the archipelago. Bring the whole family, dress for the outdoors, and join us for a memorable day in the autumn countryside!

10:30 Guided hike with the Kimitoön Walking Group to Söderlångvik’s wind shelter (approx. 1.5 hours). Starting point: Amos Krog at 10:30 a.m. Welcome to join us!

11:00-15:00 Activities, market stalls, and the opportunity to meet experts from the Finnish Wildlife Agency and the Kimitoön Game Management Association.

11:00-12:30 & 13:30-15:00 Demonstrations of game processing and butchering with Tommy Arfman and Johan Roos from Söderlångvik Manor.

12:00-14:00 Retriever demonstration with Ari-Pekka Fontell and Susanne Fontell from Kennel Weljekset. Come and see how retrievers are trained for hunting and take the opportunity to ask questions.

12:00-13:00 Discussion: Current Issues in Hunting, Wildlife Management and Nature Conservation

Four experts will discuss current topics in hunting, wildlife management and nature conservation. Join us to learn more and benefit from their knowledge and experience. The audience is welcome to ask questions and take part in the discussion.
