Kimito Island Music Festival concert
- 09.07.2026 kl. 15.00—16.00
Since 1999, the Kimito Island Music Festival has presented chamber music ranging from classical works to contemporary repertoire in the island’s magnificent cultural landscapes.
This year’s concert at Söderlångvik Manor takes place on Thursday, 9 July at 15:00. Jean-Baptiste Barrière, an 18th-century composer and cello virtuoso active at the court of Versailles and also in Italy, introduces the audience to the world of Baroque with his sonata for two cellos. Giovanni Sollima takes a leap forward 300 years into slow-moving minimalism. The “devil of the violin,” Niccolò Paganini, offers charming and expressive 19th-century entertainment with his sonata for violin and guitar.
