About Söderlångvik

The history of Söderlångvik Manor stretches far back in time. The estate is first mentioned as early as 1511. In 1927, Amos Anderson (1878–1961), editor-in-chief of Hufvudstadsbladet, purchased the manor. He was one of the most prominent businessmen of his time and a significant patron of the arts.

Since 1965, the main building of Söderlångvik Manor has served as a biographical museum of Amos Anderson’s private art collection. During the summer season, the Söderlångvik Museum also hosts temporary exhibitions in the main building. Söderlångvik Manor is a living entity that preserves a valuable cultural heritage while actively developing new forms of activity. For those who wish to learn more, we recommend the book Amos Anderson’s Söderlångvik.

The park

The park surrounding the manor offers everything from tranquil garden spaces to sea views and paths where history accompanies you along the way. Here you will find several walking trails of varying lengths and character, from easy paths in the park to more hilly forest routes and scenic viewpoints.
