Light in the winter darkness at Söderlångvik Manor 15 November – 14 December 2025

LUX Söderlångvik is here for the third time! This year, Alexander Salvesen is the main artist of the light art exhibition. The museum façade will be illuminated with hand-painted projections, and in the park, several thought-provoking works rise up – questioning our sensory perceptions and our relationship with nature. For an entire month, there will be various events such as a Christmas market, concert, yoga, gingerbread house competition, and a visit from Finland’s Lucia. The museum is also open Wednesday–Sunday from 16:00 to 20:00 – take the opportunity to see Kim Simonsson’s exhibition Waking Dreams and Other Stories, and in the forest at Örudden, southeast of the main building, you’ll find his four illuminated Moss Giants, adding a fairytale touch to the winter darkness.

During LUX, café Glassgaraget move into the spaces of Amos Krog, transforming it into an atmospheric Christmas shop and café. Here you’ll find local handicrafts, the Manor’s own products, and apples for sale. Perfect for those looking for something unique for Christmas.

Amos Krog also serves its delicious Christmas buffet. The Christmas table is set on Fridays and Saturdays on the following dates: November 28–29, December 5–6 & 12–13. We recommend booking a table in advance. You can find the menu and make reservations here.

Barcodes, meditative bright colours, and views of forests and gardens where traces of human presence intertwine with the landscape. Alexander Salvesen’s works invite us to observe how the eye, the mind, and culture shape our reality.

Alexander Reichstein, who has previously been an artist at LUX Söderlångvik, is also participating this year with new works. His imaginative light installations are a valued feature in the park and contribute to the dreamy atmosphere that characterizes the event.
